We are looking for an experienced leader that will help us build our Modem System Test team. As a leader you will bring fresh ideas and drive decisions. You will play a major role in developing next-generation wireless solutions for Apple products engaging in modem functional validation and influencing the architecture design and improvements of new cellular technologies. You will work with all aspects of Protocol software including PHY RF SIM NAS AS IP TCP/UDP and iOS interfaces to ensure a robust and user-friendly software. You will also promote 4G/5G technology across Apples new products services and ecosystems initiatives.
15 Years of proven success as a software engineering manager
10 years of Cellular System test (5G NR FR2 LTE etc.) performance design or architecture experience
Solid experience with 5G NR PHY/MAC and higher layer control/user planes
Good understanding of mmWave challenges and 5G Standalone protocol
Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications (LTE & NR Air Interface PHY MAC RLC RRC PDCP and NAS layer).
Leading testing efforts with script development and automation on platforms like Keysight Anritsu R&S Spirent etc.
Comprehensive knowledge of the entire wireless system architecture from physical to application layer
Passion for solving challenging problems and mentoring others to create innovative solutions
Proven record of delivering projects from concept to commercialization
Experienced in leading engineering teams to achieve high standards and efficiency
Passionate about recruiting hiring and building high-performance teams
Attention to the smallest details that are significant to customers.
Excellent problem solving communication and presentation skills
