Mental Health First Aid Instructor
We are looking to recruit a Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
Salary: Up to 28.78 per hour (depending on your level of teaching qualification and level of course you are teaching)

About the Job
You will conduct high quality training sessions both in person and online following the Mental Health First Aid England guidelines ensuring that all participants receive comprehensive and engaging instructions on topics such as Mental Health awareness intervention strategies and self-care.
You will prepare and deliver teaching and learning that meets the individual needs of the learners and help them develop their skills knowledge and understanding. You will assess and provide meaningful and developmental feedback to learners as required. You will deliver Pre-Course Interviews to ensure learners are enrolled in the right class at the right level. You will ensure assessment records are kept up-to-date and targets are met. You must have the ability to take initiative and the ability to research produce and use teaching resources to maintain high standards of learning in different environments including the use of e-learning. It is also essential that you have a desire to develop and use new methods of teaching and learning to engage and motivate your learners.
Successful candidates will have an understanding of Equality and Diversity and an appreciation of the requirements of teachers under the Safeguarding of Children & Vulnerable Adults regulations.
Successful applicants will be responsible for their own travel to and from the delivery centres.
About You
We value personal attributes highly. You will need to hold a level 3 teacher qualification and have experience of teaching with a strong understanding of mental health and well-being in both Adults and Youth with specific knowledge in areas such as common health disorders crisis intervention self-care strategies and relevant legislation in the UK.
You must hold a valid Mental Health First Aid instructor qualification from Mental Health First Aid England. Additional certifications or qualifications related to mental health or teaching / training are desirable.
You will need to show a genuine passion for promoting mental health and supporting individuals in crisis. Commitment to reducing stigma raising awareness and improving mental health outcomes for individuals and communities.
