About the Role: As a Technician III youll put your advanced mechanical skills to workdiagnosing maintaining and repairing a wide range of diesel-powered compact equipment. This includes hands-on work across mechanical electrical hydraulic and diesel systems. Whether its routine maintenance or complex repairs your expertise will keep both customer and company equipment operating at peak performance. If youre confident in your craft and thrive in a fast-paced problem-solving environment we want to hear from you.
Business Operating Hours/Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
In this role you can expect to:
- Troubleshooting and Repair
- Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on a variety of equipment and systems using knowledge of schematics and diagrams.
- Perform routine maintenance repairs and overhauls on diesel engines addressing issues related to fuel systems exhaust transmissions and emissions.
- Utilize computer systems to properly troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Perform routine preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure it remains in rental-ready condition.
- Daily inspection greasing checking fluid levels etc.
- Safety Compliance
- Follow company safety and workplace policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment ensuring compliance with safety regulations and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs including parts used and work performed.
- Completion of work orders inventory counts etc.
- Supplemental
- Participates in training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
- Mentor and/or train Trainees and Lower-Level Technicians
- Work effectively with all levels of the company -- Parts Service Sales Rental
- Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) requirements including productivity quality and safety standards
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma GED Technical or Trade School
- Acceptable Driving Record
- 5 Years of Experience related to compact construction equipment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and working collaboratively with a team
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Ability to operate vehicles tools and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to work in all forms of weather conditions.
