Note: Internally this role is referred to as Operations Coordinator - Sequoia.
What You Will Do:
Assist with the complete implementation of the HSE Management System and contribute to the growth and improvement thereof.
Conduct and/or direct the operations and maintenance activities for the balance of plant equipment (turbine switchgear collection system substations transmission line switchyard site roads access ways FAA lighting Met towers emergency generators O&M building and surrounds).
Schedule Request and Dispatch all contractors required for the operations of the entire plant. (office warehouse Yard Assets).
Assure the availability of parts and resources necessary to execute all activities in the field.
Assist administration of all Sequoia Solar I & II project agreements (Landowner Leases PPA SMA LGIA).
Support execution of Sequoia Solar I & II NERC Compliance Program and assist with meeting the environmental compliance commitments (county state federal).
Support compilation of operations reports as necessary and maintain the projects operations log.
Support the 811 Call Before You Dig process (identify Sequoia Solar I & II underground facilities) as directed.
Support all Oracle financial processes as necessary.
Who You Are:
Technical trade education or certification in electrical field is preferred.
Industrial process plant experience with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
Unwavering commitment to providing a safe incident-free work environment.
Excellent inter-personal skills as well as proven verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledgeable in the use of a computer and the Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
Self-starter with a strong commitment to excellence.
Ability to work independently using sound judgment and attention to detail.
Preferred:
Solar / Wind / Battery generation plant operations and/or maintenance experience.
Experience working with high voltage electrical systems.
Working Conditions:
Some travel may be needed to assist other facilities on occasion. Valid drivers license is required.
Role will require being on-call (24/7) to support the Plant Manager in response to urgent operational issues when necessary (plant trips curtailment instructions etc.) and to support communications with Power Ops 24/7 monitoring team and the Offtake parties.
The successful candidate will undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to a 5-year driving record criminal check a company sponsored medical and drug testing.
Physical requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping kneeling light moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion typing sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read fine print) hearing requirement and the ability to work in tight spaces.
