Job Description

As a Software Engineer III - Release Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Global Banking Platform team you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Coordinates multiple microservice release (Hotfix/weekly releases) to upper environment (Multiple Test environments Performance Hotfix and Production)
- Helps triage CI/CD problems during the release process to production.
- Provides feedback and help in the automation of the deployment process.
- Creates and maintains documentation of new problems and solutions that arise.
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reports from large diverse data sets from the deployments in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Provides feedback for continuous improvement of the deployment process.
- Proactively identifies hidden problems patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies and share and support knowledge transfer with technical resources.
- Understands cloud native application development and deployment.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- 3years working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- 3 years of experience working with DevOps concepts and Agile methodologies.
- 3 years of experience using Application Release Automation Tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker
- Knowledge of Kubernetes Docker and Container base development (AWS Kubernetes Docker)
- Experience with git.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing operational stability and triaging support issues.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
Knowing how to work in a team atmosphere.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Programming experience Golang/groovy or other relevant coding languages
- Experience in debugging and maintaining script.
- Excellent team interpersonal oral and written communication skills
