Position Description:
We are Canadas largest independent information technology services firm and after 45 years were still growing! Join us as a Senior Mainframe Developer in our banking team.
Location - Scarborough
The Mainframe Developer will develop new applications or modify existing applications and provide day-to-day support. The developer will work with the business and QA Teams to ensure that the requirements are implemented as per the expectations.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Creating designing coding debugging testing and implementing applications using COBOL JCL and DB2.
Understanding the logic and structure of existing applications to identify areas for improvement or to create new ones.
Investigating and resolving issues related to application functionality and performance.
Adhering to established coding standards documentation procedures and system maintenance practices.
Developing necessary documentation and plans for application deployment and updates.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
5 years of working experience as a Developer using COBOL JCL and DB2.
Experience working in an agile environment and SDLC methodology.
Nice to Have:
Banking experience with Lending applications.
