We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage application of cash ACH and credit card payments as well as assist with customer calls as needed. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payments from residential commercial and insurance-based clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and have strong communication organization and problem-solving skills.
Onsite Work Location: This is an onsite full-time position located in Indianapolis Indiana
(This is not a remote opportunity.)
Key Responsibilities:
Post daily payments (check ACH credit card) accurately and promptly
Reconcile payment discrepancies short pays and credits
Respond to customer inquiries related to billing or payments via phone
Support month-end closing by reporting A/R totals and complete open deposit reconciliation and clean-up
Maintain accurate and up to date customer account information
Collaborate with internal teams (sales production and managers) to ensure payment application accuracy
Daily ACH and Credit Card transaction reporting
Support collections and customer financing roles as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Accounting or Business preferred
Valid drivers license
Pass a background check
2-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable bookkeeping or similar financial role
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
Good interpersonal skills with customers and internal teams
Organized detail-oriented and self-motivated
Experience in the construction roofing or service industry preferred
Familiarity with data entry Acumatica Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Excel preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
$22 - $23 an hour commensurate based on experience
