The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.
As an Accounting Clerk youll support the financial operations of our hotels by accurately processing revenues invoices and payments. You will monitor bank transactions cash flow and expenditures ensuring correct application of accounting rules. Your contribution keeps our financial administration smooth and reliable playing a vital role in the stability of the Granit hotel group.
Your tasks will include:
Ensuring that all hotel revenues are correctly registered and followed up.
Monitoring outstanding invoices and ensuring timely payments.
Processing supplier invoices and ensuring compliance with VAT legislation.
Recording payments reconciling bank transactions and managing cash flow forecasts.
Supporting expense monitoring and inventory management.
Assisting in budget creation reporting and ensuring compliance with Belgian accounting standards.
Together these responsibilities help keep our financial administration watertight.
A degree in accounting finance or hotel management or equivalent experience.
At least one year of experience in accounting or front office preferably in the hotel sector.
Solid knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and VAT regulations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detailbecause numbers deserve precision.
Proficient in Excel and accounting software; experience with Opera PMS is a plus.
Fluent in Dutch and Englishadditional languages are welcome but a good Excel formula counts too!
A proactive solution-oriented mindset and ability to switch between tasks.
