Monday - Friday 0700-1600


Requirements

Education:EEG technicians shall possess a high school diploma or addition a background with Anatomy and Physiology. WRNMMC will provide on-site training required to sit for The American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) Exam. Cost of the ABRET Exam will not be covered by WRNMMC.

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)

Experience:EEG Technicians shall have a minimum of one (1) year of basic medical experience. The contract cardiovascular technician shall be proficient on the selection and placement of leads to detect electrical brain activity.


Duties:

  • Perform electroencephalogram (EEG) testing to assess brain electrical activity.

  • Conduct patient assessments and obtain relevant medical history as needed.

  • Measure and record patient vital signs prior to procedures.

  • Transfer and store EEG data on local servers for provider interpretation.

  • Apply appropriate aseptic/sterile techniques during site preparation with antiseptic solution.

  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff in English both verbally and in writing.

  • Maintain up-to-date licensure certifications and training documentation in Joint Training Record (JTR) folders.
