Job Description
Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager Financial Reporting will oversee the preparation and analysis of external and internal financial reports ensuring accuracy compliance and alignment with corporate objectives. This role will utilize the consolidation and reporting processes using SAP BPC and will work cross-functionally to support audit compliance and strategic operating and reporting initiatives across the organization (including internal audit FP&A tax treasury and investor relations).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Utilize SAP BPC to manage consolidation financial reporting and variance analysis processes accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee the preparation of SEC filings and other regulatory reporting as required.
- Manage the external audit process including preparation of audit schedules and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Develop and maintain internal financial reporting packages for senior leadership and Board of Directors.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations and analysis of financial data across all business units.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the financial reporting process system automation and internal controls.
- Stay current with new accounting pronouncements and lead implementation efforts as applicable.
- Support special projects including system upgrades M&A activities and process improvements.
- Mentor and develop financial reporting team members fostering a culture of accuracy accountability and growth.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Education: Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field required
- Experience: 8 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and accounting within large organizations or public accounting.
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP SEC reporting and technical accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare and present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated leadership ability including managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or similar tools a plus.
- Advanced experience with SAP BPC for financial consolidation and reporting.
- Workiva experience is a plus
- CPA strongly preferred
