This position is responsible for the administration and documentation of certifications/assessments and will work closely with the Testing Center Manager to maintain currency (certified proctor) in skills and procedures.
Provides tutoring and assists with individualized and group instruction in the Library/LRC. Assists in administering library services including cataloging and maintaining library materials. Performs combination of duties required to keep area functional. Maintains all records as required by the College.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists in the administration of skills assessments and provides results to staff advisors and counselors in a timely and efficient manner
- Proctors academic and certification exams. Keeps up to date with all trainings required.
- Assists with setting up and organizing library displays to promote student engagement.
- Provides tutorial assistance and assists in individualized and student group instruction in the Tutoring Center to meet the needs of students
- Maintains records of tutoring and assists in preparation of required reports. Submits weekly Trac Cloud data reports and library usage reports
- Prepares and conducts short workshops and tutorials that guide and assist students with homework problem solving report writing and test preparation
- Works cooperatively within the college to provide instructional support and supplemental services to faculty and students as requested
- Assists with library collection maintenance materials check-out and cataloging
- Tracks overdue and fine reports daily
- Maintain and update library web page
- Provide tutoring for English and math when appropriate
- Responsible for opening and closing library procedures
- Troubleshoot computer issues for students
- Plan and implement library programs for students
- Answer Ask-A-Librarian and statewide LibChats
- Train other LRC staff on library systems and reporting

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred high school diploma required.
- Experience in tutorial and individualized instruction preferred.
- Familiarity with student assessment computer experience in word processing database spreadsheet and tutorial software applications preferred.
- Must be able to work some evening and weekend hours. Candidate must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
