The Department of Emergency Medicine at West Virginia University (WVU) St. Josephs Hospital in Buckhannon WV is currently seeking academic Emergency Medicine (EM) physicians at the rank of Assistant Professor Associate Professor and Professor. Qualified and interested candidates would be conserved for a Medical Director/Division Chief opportunity for St. Josephs Hospital.
St. Josephs Hospital receives 24000 Emergency Department (ED) visits per year where clinical opportunities and medical student and resident teaching are available. St. Josephs Hospital is ranked in the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals for Best Practices in Quality in the Nation by the National Rural Health Association.
Qualified applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or its foreign equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program and be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.

Across this myriad of EM practices our faculty fellows residents and advanced practice providers care for more than 181000 patients per year.
