Job Description

Job Description:

The First Generation Mentoring Program Advisor will work closely with the Director of College & Career Readiness to run the First Generation Mentoring Program at SHS.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly evening meetings with mentors mentees and families (approx 2.5 - 3 hr/month)
    • Facilitate meetings
    • Set up dinner and meeting spaces
    • Clean up after meetings
  • Assist in preparing content for monthly meetings (choose topics create slides coordinate guest speakers)

Qualifications are:

  • Strong project-management and communication skills
  • Interest in and willingness to learn about College & Career Readiness processes at SPS
  • Interest in and experience working with young people

Terms of Employment:

  • Yearly Appointment
  • 2024-2025 School Year
  • 3-4 hours per month based upon mentor meeting dates (up to 20 hours total for the year)
  • Stipend:$600
