Job Description:
The First Generation Mentoring Program Advisor will work closely with the Director of College & Career Readiness to run the First Generation Mentoring Program at SHS.
Responsibilities include:
- Monthly evening meetings with mentors mentees and families (approx 2.5 - 3 hr/month)
- Facilitate meetings
- Set up dinner and meeting spaces
- Clean up after meetings
- Assist in preparing content for monthly meetings (choose topics create slides coordinate guest speakers)
Qualifications are:
- Strong project-management and communication skills
- Interest in and willingness to learn about College & Career Readiness processes at SPS
- Interest in and experience working with young people
Terms of Employment:
- Yearly Appointment
- 2024-2025 School Year
- 3-4 hours per month based upon mentor meeting dates (up to 20 hours total for the year)
- Stipend:$600
Reports to: Melanie Kessler Director of College & Career Readiness
