This position is well suited for candidates who are beginning or building a career path toward becoming a senior-level Business & Finance Officer within King County. Youll be part of a collaborative environment that values problem-solving teamwork and public service.
In this role youll work closely with both the PMO and the Project Controls Office (PCO) from day one. The PMO will provide overall supervision guidance and professional development while the PCO will lead initial onboarding and technical training. As you gain experience youll have increasing opportunities to collaborate with PMO leadership and support a wide range of financial functions across the Capital Division. The PCO will remain a key partner especially with regards to your role ensuring timely payment and coordination with KC Payables and vendors.
Recruitment Information:
This recruitment will be used to fill 1 Career Service addition this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility pool for future Career Service vacancies that may occur in this classification within the Capital Division. The eligibility pool will be retained for 12 months from the time it is established and may be extended or used at the discretion of the hiring authority.

Work Schedule:
Our regular business hours are 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. However work outside of these hours may occasionally be required. This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay. We may also consider flexible hours.

The main work site associated with this position is King Street Center 201 S. Jackson St Seattle WA 98104.
Telecommuting Requirement:
This is a hybrid role requiring a combination of remote and onsite work at various King County facilities. Employees are expected to work onsite at least one day per week though this requirement may be subject to change. A County-issued laptop will be provided and employees must maintain a dedicated workspace with reliable internet access to perform their duties efficiently and remain accessible during scheduled work hours.
Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance of their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. There will be situations where the employee is required to report to a county worksite.
