Temporary/Permanent:TemporaryTemporarily Part-Time (75% FTE) position with the University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa
College of Engineering working on multiple projects including 1)Toward Vision Zero:
Sensing Predicting and Preventing Intersection Collisions 2) Polit Connected
Automated Vehicle System Investigations for Enhanced Safety and Mobility of Seniors
and Individuals with Disabilities in Hawaii and 3) the other cybersecurity-transportation
projects. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs
satisfactory work performance availability of funds and compliance with applicable
Federal/State laws.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts research focusing on AI data analytics cybersecurity literature synthesis which includes: Analyzing traffic data preparing training datasets for AI-based traffic sensing model development reviewing cybersecurity-transportation related literature synthesizing the latest cybersecurity research development preparing for technical reports and journal/conference publications. Assists with research grant applications. Works with graduate students on relevant research projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master from an accredited college or university in Data Analytics or related field.
- 1-2 years experience in research in an academic setting.
- Knowledge of data science and data analytics
Desirable Qualifications
- Ability to develop design and conduct AI training dataset development;
comprehensively synthesize existing literature analyze experimental data and
work collaboratively to draft technical reports and scientific papers for
professional conferences and journal publications
