This position calls for a dynamic venue and event marketer. The Director of Marketing will manage supervise and coordinate all the activities of the Marketing department to reach budgeted goals. This person will create and implement marketing plans manage event advertising budgets and promotions and ensure successful event campaigns. He/she is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with media partners community partners and various organizations throughout the area. They will oversee the media buying and billing process. He/she will oversee the brand for the venues public relations community outreach promotions group sales and publicity for the venue and the events: concerts sporting events meetings and shows within the facility while developing creative marketing campaigns that promote public/community awareness.
This role pays an annual salary of $80000-$100000 and is bonus eligible

The new Mobile Arena will anchor a lively downtown Mobile Alabama a city that offers world-class accommodations retail shops restaurants museums parks and art galleries. The state-of-the-art 10000 capacity arena is under construction and scheduled to open in early 2027. It will be home to a minor league hockey team concerts family shows regional and national sports events community gatherings and annual Mardi Gras events. It will include a wide range of premium seating and experiences including suites clubs and loge boxes and include over 27000 square feet of multi-purpose and pre-event space.
This OVG managed property also consists of the Seanger Theater and the Mobile Convention Center. The Saenger Theater seats 1900 patrons and hosts over 70000 guests annually. It is the home of the Mobile Symphony Orchestra Summer Classic Movie Series and Lagniappes annual Nappie Awards. The Saenger also has hosted national acts such as The Avett Brothers Willie Nelson Chicago The Black Jacket Symphony Vince Gill Bob Dylan and more. The Mobile Convention Center is a 317000 square foot facility and features sixteen meeting rooms two ballrooms and two exhibit halls totaling 100000 square feet. Winner of numerous architectural awards the Mobile Convention Center takes full advantage of an exclusive waterfront setting with magnificent views of the historic Mobile River from three levels.

Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights. Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends nights and holidays required. Frequent bending lifting 15-20 pounds sitting exposure to multiple external elements extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs
