Job Description
As a member of the SwiftUI team youll act as a both an engineer and manager to deliver new features and elegant APIs that surprise and delight our an engineer you will be responsible for bringing your ideas to life through all stages of their development: from initial research to API design and proposals to testing and development in Swift to documentation and offering guidance to adopters. Youll join us in energetic discussions on each others work and ideas alongside members of other teams possessing a variety of different perspectives and domain a manager you will foster the growth productivity and well-being of your teamsome more experienced and some less experienced than youthrough the highs and lows of the creative process. You will be responsible for project planning inter-team coordination and ultimate delivery of your teams features. Youll take an active role in hiring to help grow a world-class and diverse SwiftUI team. To be effective youll need to forge and maintain strong relationships with our numerous partner SwiftUI team is responsible for the core SwiftUI framework and works closely with other teams across iOS iPadOS macOS watchOS and tvOS. Youll also have the opportunity to collaborate with experts throughout Apple including compiler engineers interface designers and technical writers. Curious and enterprising individuals who take an expansive view of their role will thrive in this multi-disciplinary environment!Our goal is to dramatically improve the correctness performance and polish of apps across all of Apples platforms making it easier for beginners to get started while also empowering seasoned pros to make their apps shine. Because we have the privilege of collaborating closely with Swift Xcode HI and framework teams up and down the software stack we believe SwiftUI can beby farthe best app development experience in the world. - Experience with framework and API development
- Enthusiasm for both technical leadership and people leadership
- Proficiency with Swift
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with any of the following is a plus but not required:
- People management and technical leadership
- SwiftUI and Swift Standard Library design patterns
- Cocoa and Objective-C
- Other declarative UI frameworks
- Programming language design and implementation
- UI/UX design
- AI/ML and data visualization
- Technical writing
- Open-source software projects
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198300 and $342800 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apples discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apples Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
