ABOUT THE ROLE

We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Controller to join our head office in Wangara working within our Maintenance Team to manage our fleet.

As a Maintenance Controller you will play a key role in controlling the repair and maintenance costs of client vehicles plant and equipment. Youll liaise with our supplier network and ensure that every vehicle under our management is maintained in line with industry standards whilst ensuring maintenance of accurate data on our systems for reporting purposes.

If you are a qualified automotive technician confident service advisor or technical workshop controller with strong people and IT skills this is an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career in the fleet management industry. With the added bonus of working for a privately owned company where you can make a difference.

The position will initially be offered as a 12-month contract with a view to move to permanency for the right candidate.

Every day is different but your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Taking phone calls from suppliers negotiating work to be done and approving costs for required repairs and maintenance.
  • Accurately recording all maintenance data in our internal systems.
  • Providing advice to clients and other team members in relation to vehicle and equipment running costs and maintenance issues.
  • Managing repairs with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure minimum downtime and costs.
  • Following up on outstanding supplier invoices.
  • Working with the Maintenance Manager to establish suitable supplier networks to service our clients vehicles.

Where necessary going off-site to inspect assets requiring high-cost repairs to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.



Skills And Experiences

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

To be considered you will ideally demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 2 years hands on experience as a qualified vehicle technician workshop controller service advisor or recently completed your qualifications and looking for an alternative career path
  • Sound understanding of fleet management automotive service spare parts and associated industries
  • Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • A passion and commitment to providing outstanding customer service and to go the extra mile for our customers
  • Positive team player attitude able to work autonomously as well as supporting and collaborating effectively with others
  • Sound time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive approach ability to take initiative embrace challenges and thrive on learning new skills
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills including Word Excel Outlook and Salesforce or similar CRM software
  • Availability to work full-time across a flexible shift pattern between 5am-4.30pm WST Mon- Fri
