We need a skilled Mechanical Engineering Intern to help advance and sustain our radar products through design analysis and production sustainment. At IMSAR youll have a chance to dig right in with our Mechanical Engineering team and contribute to important projects right away.
What Youll Do:
- Component and assembly design including detailed analyses such as heat transfer and strength analysis
- Create and sustain design documentation including part/assembly drawings and bills of materials
- Design and support testing of radar systems to ensure compliance to requirements
- Work closely with partners and customers in a technical capacity.
- Create and present compelling presentations to both internal and external customers

What Were Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- US Citizen eligible for a US Government security clearance.
- Able to work onsite at our Springville Utah facility.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA)
Preferred Skills:
- Aerospace mechanical system design
- Heat transfer fluid dynamics structural and vibration analyses
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g. machining 3D printing composites)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks including part modeling assembly design and drawing creation
- Organization communication and documentation with proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Confluence software
