Job Description
Job Title: Moulder Floorperson - 2nd shift
Location: Burnham ME
Reports To: Manufacturing Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Moulder Floorperson is responsible for moving product and waste within the Moulder area to ensure smooth and timely production. The Moulder Floorperson provides overall support for the Moulder area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remove dowels from collection chains on all moulders and place on correct racks.
- Pickup any dowels that fall on floor and put them on the proper rack.
- Empty the barrels of waste wood from under the recovery saws.
- Move full dowel racks to area where the forklift will pick them up.
- Tag dowel racks with correct Part number and quantity.
- Total the dowel production numbers for each moulder at the end of the shift.
- Move empty racks into place for easy filling for the collection chains.
- Assist moulder operator and dowel sorters at the end of shift with cleanup.
- Assist with any other tasks asked by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous Manufacturing or Floorperson experience a plus
- Ability to coordinate eyes and hands rapidly and accurately and make precise hand movements with speed.
- Legible handwriting
SKILLS/PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability and willingness to operate a forklift
- Self-starter who is quality minded
- Must work well alone and as a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to remain organized and focused in a fast-paced work environment
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Must be safety minded. Use proper body mechanics and proper lifting techniques. Always wear hearing protection safety shoes and safety glasses. Never put your fingers or any other body part into a running machine. Always keep area clean to ensure there is not debris on the floor that could cause you or anyone else to fall.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred

- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members
- Must be able to safely navigate the production facility OSHA compliant. Appropriate shoes for standing on concrete flooring is recommended.
- Ability to work on feet all day
- Ability to work at a moving belt
- Ability to lift push/pull 50 lbs. barrels from one spot to another
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works in manufacturing environment. The noise level in the facility is usually moderate to high. Hearing protection is required and supplied.
