Job Description

Summary:

Anchor Construction Corporation has an immediate opening for an entry-level Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks associated with the successful fulfillment of requirements for Human Resources. The HR Assistant performs record-keeping file maintenance and timely distribution of required reporting.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Respond to intercom calls and assist visitors as needed.
  • Maintain the company phone on and respond to calls and text promptly during working hours
  • Maintain organize and edit physical and digital filing systems.
  • Performs customer service questions
  • Translate/interpret when needed includes oral and/or written translations for Human Resources and Risk Management when needed.
  • Assist with the onboarding for pre on and off-boarding processes for all personnel
  • Maintain and update I9 verification
  • Screening candidates and scheduling interviews
  • Coordinate sending cards (Birthdays Get Well Sympathy) and flowers for employees
  • Organize and prepare onboarding and orientation material for new employees
  • Create and organize complete personnel files for each new hire including all required documentation
  • Perform general administrative tasks including photocopies scanning and emailing documents
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong integrity professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Minimum 6 months of HR and administrative experience
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written communication)
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and proactive thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational time-management and project planning skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS programs a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to work overtime and meet safety requirements

Physical Demands Sedentary

Lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets ledgers and files. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Work Environment Limited

General office environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature noise fumes dust etc.)

Pay Range: $21 - $25 per hour
