Partnership Resources Inc. a non-profit disability services provider in the Twin Cities/West Metro area is seeking an Arts Coordinator to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in exploring the creative arts! We believe that art is for all abilities and have a long-standing tradition of incorporating a broad range of arts opportunities into our programming.

The Arts Coordinator works in conjunction with Leadership and the Art Instructor to develop and execute the overall vision of Arts Education at Partnership Resources. This position is responsible for both day-to-day Arts Education activities within our day programs such as teaching and facilitating lessons and behind-the-scenes administrative work. Use your knowledge and passion to help us foster creative community within our agency and form partnerships between the individuals we serve and the greater arts community!

This position is full-time non-exempt with a Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM working schedule (40 hours per week). Location is in NE Minneapolis.

Details:

  • Develops plans and implements a diverse annual arts curriculum in conjunction with Leadership and the Art Instructor
  • Works to continually expand arts opportunities for individuals served
  • Teaches a wide variety of arts media and topics in a classroom setting
  • Seeks out and collaborates with community partners to provide field-based arts activities outside of the classroom setting
  • Acts as the lead Arts Representative for art-related fundraisers and public speaking needs
  • Acts as the lead Arts Representative for art-related grants ranging from idea generation to implementation and reporting
  • Leads and implements initiatives for artists to sell their artwork
  • Adapts curriculum teaching methods and instructional materials to the needs interests and skill levels of individuals served to promote development and engagement
  • Mentors the Art Instructor on curriculum teaching methods best practices and execution of curricula
  • Collect and document data according to MN Department of Human Services licensing regulations grant requirements and internal standards (training provided in this area)

Compensation:

  • Pay: $21 - $23.50 per hour dependent upon qualifications

Requirements:

  • Actively creates art in one or more media in a professional capacity. Must be able to provide a portfolio as part of the interview process
  • Previous experience teaching activities within Arts Education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of painting drawing and multi-media
  • Ability to use personal vehicle for work purposes for example travel to other locations or transportation of art and materials to an exhibition
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Intermediate computer and technology skills
  • Multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
  • Must be able to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa
  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years
  • Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 21-50 pounds
  • Ability and willingness to assist individuals with activities of daily living

Preferred:

  • Degree or coursework leading to a degree in art/art education OR equivalent experience in art/art education
  • Experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities
