Job Description

Global Center for Women and Justice (GCWJ)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Vanguard Universitys Global Center for Women and Justice is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Grant Program Coordinator to oversee the Safe Communities; Safe Kids pilot program. This innovative program aims to develop and implement human trafficking prevention education in Orange County public schools. The Grant Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management coordination and execution of the program to ensure it meets its objectives and delivers significant impact.

Important Position Information: This is a three-year pilot program grant-funded position with an initial term of three years subject to renewal based on program success and funding availability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Project Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and logistics of the Safe Communities; Safe Kids program.
  • Develop and maintain project plans timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure program activities align with the grant objectives and requirements.

Staff and Student Coordination

  • Coordinate recruitment hiring training and supervision of VU student facilitators and peer educators.
  • Coordinate with VU departments such as the registrars office for course listings and enrollment.
  • Manage training sessions for student facilitators with qualified instructors.

Coordinate Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with Orange County school districts teachers and community partners.
  • Promote the programs services to schools and arrange classroom visits for peer educators.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners including the Samueli Foundation and other community organizations
  • Coordinate presentations and appearances at various events such as Amplify and Ensure Justice.

Coordinate Curriculum Development and Implementation

  • Collaborate with GCWJ faculty and external partners to review and adapt existing curriculum.
  • Ensure the curriculum meets California Healthy Youth Act and Workplace Readiness Act requirements.
  • Support the delivery of prevention education content in classrooms.

Evaluation and Reporting in Collaboration with VU Grants Office

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive evaluation and assessment plan.
  • Collect analyze and report data on program outcomes and impact
  • Prepare progress reports for funders and stakeholders.

Budget and Resource Coordinator

  • Manage the program budget and ensure compliance with grant funding requirements with GCWJ Director.
  • Coordinate with GCWJ staff to secure additional funding and resources as needed.

Some duties may be required in addition to those listed above over the course of the grant implementation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred in Education Social Work Public Administration or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience preferably in educational or community programs.
  • Evaluation/Research using Excel Survey Monkey and similar tools.
  • Experience working with schools educators and/or community organizations.
  • Proven track record of managing grant-funded projects and meeting program objectives.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

SALARY

Full-time position.

$66560 (Annual)

Placement within the salary range is commensurate upon education and experience. The posted salary range reflects the anticipated hiring scale for the position. Vanguard University also offers a very competitive and generous benefits package.
