Department Overview
The Evidence and Devices Engineering team is responsible for Motorola Solutions body cameras vehicle cameras and evidence management software leveraged in public safety and enterprise applications worldwide.We are a thriving and growing company in search of a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our evidence management team at our Edinburgh Scotland site. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in the development and growth of our software engineering projects. We are seeking a talented and proactive individual who can contribute to our teams success and foster a positive culture within the company.
Job Description
Please note that this role is based in the Edinburgh Office.
You will be responsible for:
Designing and implementing Embedded Software in C C Rust.
Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise.
Learning and maintaining an existing code base while taking ownership of the feature in development.
Ensuring continuous professional self-development.
Basic Requirements
What you bring to the table:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Mathematics Physics Electronics Electrical or equivalent.
Knowledge of Embedded software development testing and debugging software issues.
Collaborates with co-workers and has strong communication relationship-building and cooperation skills.
Ability to multi-task under guidance.
Interest to learn and grow your skillset on Embedded Linux Microcontrollers Electronics.
Bonus points for:
Previous working experience on Embedded Systems.
Familiarity with Linux-based environments.
