About You
Are you a hands-on social media strategist with a passion for storytelling and audience engagement RMIT is seeking a dynamicSocial Media Managerto lead our global social media presence across organic and paid channels. Youll manage a small team of four drive performance across platforms like Instagram TikTok LinkedIn Facebookand ideally WeChat Weibo and Little Red Bookand play a key role in enhancing brand visibility supporting student recruitment and alumni engagement
The role provides strategic input into campaign development oversees the delivery of social media activities across always-on and time-bound initiatives and supports the amplification of key university events such as Open Day and global recruitment
To be successful in this position youll have:
Proven experience developing and executing anddelivering engagement goalsfor integratedsocialmediastrategies across paid and organic channels.
Broad knowledge of social media platforms and audience behaviours.
Desirable (but not essential) experience with China-specific platforms such as WeChat Weibo and Little Red Book.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a small teambased in Australia and offshore.
A proactive hands-on approach to content creation campaign execution and performance optimisation.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
