We Will Be Recruiting For Two (2) Positions With This Post. Your Application Will Be Considered For All Noted Open Positions

The Recruitment Range For This Position Is $37782- $55000


The Front Desk Receptionist position is responsible for managing the front desk operations at the 11-story NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Raleigh Headquarters. This role provides administrative support by welcoming and directing visitors managing incoming calls and executing various office coordination functions to ensure a professional and efficient environment.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations at the departments primary headquarters serving as the first point of contact for staff partners and visitors. The role supports overall facilities administration and helps maintain a welcoming and secure office environment.

Key Duties Include:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Answer screen and route incoming calls to appropriate staff.

  • Maintain the reception area to ensure it is organized and presentable.

  • Coordinate visitor badge issuance and maintain visitor logs.

  • Schedule and support meetings and appointments as needed.

  • Respond to routine inquiries and direct guests appropriately.

  • Perform data entry and maintain basic office records and supply inventory.

  • Provide general administrative assistance to office staff and building management.

  • Liaise with building representatives and internal divisions to coordinate visitor logistics.

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

About the DHHS Office of Property & Construction:
The Division of Property and Construction manages the capital assets of the Department supporting 18 state-operated facility campuses with over 7.7 million square feet of building space and 148 leased properties totaling 1.2 million square feet. The division also provides maintenance housekeeping and grounds services for the Dorothea Dix Campus35 buildings across 326 acresand basic maintenance and grounds services for the Governor Morehead School which includes 31 buildings totaling 291000 square feet.
