Job Description
Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Director MedSurg/ICU for our MedSurg Department. This job is permanent full time.

Core competencies include but are not limited to the following:
Develops and implements departmental goals plans and standards consistent with the clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations including patient care delivery information technologies service level determination and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares monitors and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Works as staff during critical shortage
Minimum Education Associates degree in Nursing:
- Preferred X Required
Bachelors degree in Nursing:
- Preferred Required
Masters degree:
- Preferred Required
Required Licenses Tennessee United States:
Registered Nurse Current RN License in State of TN or another compact state
Required Skills:
The below certifications will be required at the time of hire:
X Basic Life Support (BLS)
The below certifications will be required within 6 months of hire or when transferring into a new department with these certifications:
X Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
