Make a Difference

The Director of Volunteer Services is over volunteer services at Community Hospital Anderson. This position is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive volunteer services program including strategic planning recruitment community outreach and regulatory compliance. This includes developing annual and quarterly plans for volunteer demand and outreach overseeing the Volunteer Services Assistant and serving as liaison to the Auxiliary and educational institutions. The Director of Volunteer Services also manages the operational and financial performance of the Gift Shop including merchandising budgeting and inventory. This position oversees the chaplains at the hospital. Key responsibilities include fostering community relationships enhancing patient services through volunteer integration ensuring volunteer recognition and maintaining accurate records.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should demonstrate strong leadership in people development strategic thinking financial management and effective communication while promoting a culture of engagement inclusion and continuous improvement.

Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences personnel administration business management communications or a related field is required.

In lieu of the education requirement five (5) years of volunteer services experience is acceptable.

Three (3) years or more of supervisor or management experience preferably with volunteers in a healthcare setting is required.

Retail experience is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word PowerPoint Excel and Publisher.

Maintains objectivity and confidentiality.

Relates to people of all ages diverse backgrounds skills and abilities.

Management and organizational skills.
