Job Description
As a team member of an incubation team you will develop future feature ideas into proofs of concept and prototypes and then contribute to transform them into products that will surprise and delight millions of customers all over the particular youll take on the challenge of applying innovating machine learning solutions to enhance the video experience on our devices and finding the right trade-off between quality and performance on very power constrained devices. Youll work with hardware and software teams to optimize the end to end data flow and identify blocks that can be reused and accelerated by hardware customization. The ideal candidate is self-motivated an excellent problem solver and a faster learner. You are comfortable working in a dynamic multi-functional environment quick to establish relationships and comfortable with changes and ambiguities. You will bring software expertise to a highly interdisciplinary team and work with many dedicated engineers to build high-quality features in Apple products.
- BS with relevant industry experience.
- Development experience in image or video processing.
- Experience on CV/ML development framework.
- Experience in specifying and creating datasets for a particular task.
- Excellent written skills for clear reporting of data analysis and conclusions.
- Demonstrated ability in taking initiative to solve problems without explicit directions and delivering results under tight engineering schedules.
- Self-driven and passionate for camera technologies as well as prototyping and productization.
- Ability to learn quickly and become familiar with multiple technology areas.
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147400 and $272100 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
