Job Description
Monday to Friday
Occasional Saturdays
45 hours per week working either 0700-1600 or 0730-1630
30 min paid lunch break
Were seeking a Transport Planner to join our team in this role youll help manage our fleet of 30 vehicles from vans to articulated lorries delivering a variety of building materials to locations across the UK including construction sites merchants and independent builders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and plan efficient safe and compliant vehicle routes from 48 hours in advance to the day of delivery.
- Maintain and update transport records including daily logs movements and reports.
- Optimise vehicle scheduling for maximum efficiency and load capacity.
- Ensure compliance with the Working Time Directive and all relevant transport legislation.
- Arrange additional loads with sub-contractors and negotiate rates.
- Book wide load movements via ESDAL
- Provide support for inbound calls from drivers sales and yard teams.
What we are looking for in you
Were looking for a motivated and experienced Transport Planner with excellent knowledge of UK geography and the transport industry. Youll be proactive with strong organisational and planning skills.
Experience with MaxOptra Nav and Business Central is preferred.
