The Contracts and Risk Manager oversees companys contracts and insurance program. Prepares reviews and negotiates customer and supplier contracts of varying types and within a broad spectrum of industries including private and government sectors. Negotiates legal and commercial contract language by applying an understanding of companys risk standards. Oversees the purchase and implementation of companys insurance policy coverage. Works with companys management team to apply corporate risk standards company-wide. Resolves issues with customers and suppliers regarding commercial terms legal terms and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Review analyze and negotiate legal and commercial terms and conditions in contracts purchase orders non-disclosure agreements vendor registrations bid documents and other company legal documents for acceptability and compliance with corporate business legal and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Effectively Manages and prioritizes pipeline of contracts.
  • Offers comprehensive support to companys business managers in applying corporate risk management policies & strategies.
  • Support contracts team in effectively implementing policies and procedures. Including providing assistance with basic tasks conducting training when necessary and accurately documenting & sharing procedures.
  • Update contract documents to meet evolving company requirements.
  • Identify nonstandard requirements and contractual obligations for customers or vendors and communicate those requirements to the appropriate internal departments.
  • Assess the insurance requirements of the company and manage the acquisition and renewal of insurance policies.
  • Analyze and relay the legal and business impacts of customer actions such as mergers & acquisitions bankruptcies and policy changes on companys deliverables.
  • Monitor and communicate the legal and business implications of changes in government regulations.
  • Proactively identifying evaluating and potentially incorporating new procedures or initiatives to improve departmental efficiency and adapt to changing customer requirements.
  • Foster the professional development of team members providing guidance and mentorship as necessary with a focus on promoting our companys culture and achieving our quality objectives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related fieldORCertified Paralegal degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a previous relevant position.
  • Maintain high level of accuracy particularly when dealing with contractual details.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with clients and colleagues across different departments.
  • Proven ability in successfully leading teams of various sizes and expertise levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior purchasing or contracts experience.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating terms of sale and terms of purchase.

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-3:30pm / Friday: 6:00am-1:00pm
