What will you do
A day in the life of an Associate Merchandiser at Vans looks a little like this.
You will be a key member of the Americas Regional Merchandising team focused on driving the total Footwear business in DTC across the Americas. You will work closely with several cross-functional departments including the Global Merchandising Regional Planning Regional Marketing and Regional Commercial teams to bring curated Footwear assortments to life in the Americas marketplace in stores and online. You will report to the Merchandising Manager for Mens Footwear in the Americas.
You will support product strategies across Vans DTC channels by assisting with order entry sample coordination and trend analysis. Collaborate with a fast-paced merchandising team contributing your perspective on marketing product lifecycle and strategic initiatives.

Lets break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Business Analytics
Perform weekly and monthly sales reporting by monitoring sales inventory and key KPIS and provide insights to the broader team to inform in season and future season decisions.
Identify opportunity areas in product performance pricing and channel behavior.
Manage samples monitor product on website to ensure product go live on time.
Constantly monitor consumer demand trends using insights to shape planning and assortment decisions. Execute ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support seasonal product assortment decision-making.
Merchandising and Assortment Planning
Support the development and execution of seasonal product assortments for your area.
Collaborate with merchandising team on their respective category and marketplace responsibility provide feedback on prototypes based on current and historical results consumer feedback and local needs.
Maintain assortment line plans and product tools ensuring accuracy and efficiency of completion of tasks.
Support team with regional line architecture assortment strategies and in-region pricing (with global guidelines) and marketplace segmentation.
Go to market and cross functional alignment.
Support content deliverables for the region ensuring GTM milestone deliverables are aligned to marketplace needs and accuracy. Assist with meeting preparation which may include sample management and showroom set up.
Assist in the preparation of seasonal milestones (line reviews go to market and buy reviews)
Work closely with visual and marketing teams to support product launches and seasonal stories.
Drive and manage quality of regional PLM systems forecasting and analysis needs together with merchant and planning teams.
What do you need to succeed

Additionally while formal education in a related field is great to have we are most interested in your years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
3-5 years of relevant experience in merchandising or buying.
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Passion for product brand storytelling and the vans consumer
Strong knowledge of fashion trends and marketplace awareness
Proficient in Microsoft Excel Google Analytics BI Edited PowerPoint and Flex PLM.
Ability to work cross functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Confidence in presenting and communicating top level financials wins misses and opportunities for your category.
A positive authentic personality that is motivated and excited to dive into the business with drive sales.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
Knowledge and high interest in the business and culture of fashion
Ownership of driving a small part of your business experience in recapping providing a POV to your direct team on future strategies.
Experience working at the corporate headquarters of a major footwear and/or apparel brand.

Hiring Range:
$57888.00 USD - $72360.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan sales incentive orcommissionpotential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
