Job Description Summary
The Business Director II reports directly the Executive Director of Strategic Ventures. Under limited supervision the Business Director provides support for financial planning debt financing and strategic partnerships. This position provides project management and business analysis related to joint venture addition this position supports strategic financial planning capital planning and long-term debt initiatives for the MUSC Health System. This position provides credible/reliable consistent standardized and integrated financial support services to MUSC Health. This position is an integral operational partner and collaborates with the strategic venture partners MUHA senior leadership operations and finance teams. The Business Director serves as a strategic financial resource. Assists with preparation and review of financial strategic plans including proformas return on investment calculations and forecasts in conjunction with the finance planning office. Reviews and monitors all financial activities. Directs the development of annual budgets and identification of performance metrics across the related entities. Guides supports and reports out on a balanced scorecard for each investment and acts as the liaison to the joint venture partners. Manages special projects as assigned.Entity

Master degree (MHA MBA) required with a minimum of 5 years experience in a position of significant financial and supervisory responsibility in an academic medical institution required. Knowledge of budgeting operations labor management strategic planning and satisfaction performance reporting systems and methodologies required. Proven ability to research gather synthesize and organize information to produce concise reports using various resources. Understanding of external regulatory requirements and effective compliance assurance methods preferred. Experience with contract negotiation audit and compliance is desired. Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheets and have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate complicated policies and procedures and financial information to a wide variety of audiences.
