Job Description

Midway Motors is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Parts Counter Clerk to join our team! This role supports both retail customers and our service shop by assisting with parts sales inventory management and order fulfillment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers and technicians with parts selection at the counter by phone or in the shop
  • Handle parts sales payments returns and special orders
  • Maintain organized records of invoices orders and inventory
  • Restock parts prepare deliveries and manage returns
  • Keep work areas clean and assist with general department upkeep
  • Support the team with other tasks as needed

Requirements

Job Description

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES)

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years parts department and/or warehouse experience in the automotive industry
  • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
  • Valid drivers license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years parts counter service or sales experience in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
  • Previous work experience working directly with the public; talking to others to convey information effectively by phone in written form email and in-person; actively seeking ways to help people; organize and accomplish work
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer-focused (internal and external customers) with the ability to give full attention to what others are saying take time to understand the situation ask appropriate questions and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Explain technical product or service information to customers
  • Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data and process information
  • Cooperative spirit that requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying good-natured cooperative attitude; being sensitive to others needs and feelings while being understanding and helpful
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Self-motivated goal-oriented and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
