Associates Bachelors Masters or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Certification/Licensure
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience
Department/Position Overview:
The 3 West Ortho/Trauma unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General specializes in providing expert care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and related complications. Our unit is comprised of 24 in-patient beds. Our patient population includes admissions from the OrthoJoint Spine Fracture and Ortho/Trauma centers as well as medical/surgical patients. The nursing unit enjoys a supportive team environment including resources such as a unit-based nurse educator orthopedic navigator respiratory therapy PT/OT nursing care partners unit coordinators charge nurse and manager. The unit has an active Unit-Based Partnership Council and participates in many hospital-wide Nurse led Councils.

This positions primary duties include assessing/admitting patients rounding checks giving medications talking with family members and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
