Job Description
AWS & Terraform Developer
Reston VA Onsite (3-5 days a week)
These are Developer roles in DevOps space not DevOps Engineers. These developers create AWS services for DevOps.
Job Description: The Application Developer is responsible for performing high complexity analysis design development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. The candidate will also resolve defects encountered during various testing cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain terraform modules in Terraform Enterprise Private Module Registry (PMR) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Create and enforce Sentinel policies to ensure compliance and governance in infrastructure deployments.
- Perform system-level application analysis design development and unit testing.
- Resolve defects encountered during various testing cycles.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Solid knowledge of Terraform Enterprise module and Sentinel Policy development.
- Strong understanding of current programming languages and technologies to solve business needs.
- Proficient in HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL)
- Familiar with GitLab CICD pipeline and Python programing is preferred
Education and Work Experience:
Professional level certification(s) in AWS and Terraform desired.
5-10 years of software development experience across the appropriate platform.
