Construction Division:

As a major UK contractor our Construction Division has a diversified workload in the public regulated and private sectors. The Division boasts a strong reputation for providing whole-life solutions high standards of project delivery and an ability to innovate. It predominately operates under either the Galliford Try or the Morrison Construction brands and is organised into five key segments: Building Infrastructure Facilities Management Investments and Integrated Solutions.

Our Building Business:

There has never been a better time to join our team with our Building business having seen impressive growth over the last few years achieving tremendous success. Right now we are poised for continued London South East Commercial Business Unit works primarily in the commercial sector including new build and cut & carve refurbishment and the residential sector including most tenures and targeting growth in affordable housing in response to the governments plan for new homes. We have a well-balanced spread of clients delivering exciting projects in London ranging from 15m to 120m. Our extensive experience and expertise in building projects enables us to understand our clients construction needs and deliver solutions that surpass their expectations.

What you will be doing:

  • To promote the Companys capabilities to public and private clients and their advisors developing opportunities for work in the London & South East region and liaising with counterparts regarding opportunities throughout the UK.
  • To manage the Companys performance on selected frameworks providing a first point of contact managing pipeline intelligence responding to opportunities and ensuring our teams comply with framework requirements and governance at tender pre-construction and construction stages.
  • To take a key leadership role and work with the proposals and estimating function adding information and business knowledge at the pre-tender stage
  • To take the lead in developing opportunities in terms of strategies targeting opportunities and client dialogue. Ensuring that the clients requirements are understood and addressed in coherent and professional terms.
  • To work within the business units project selection strategy considering risk profile opportunity fit etc.
  • To develop further opportunities for negotiated work and explore partnership arrangements within a developing client base.
  • To be aware of new markets and market trends ensuring GT is ahead of the competition.
  • To develop relationships with existing customers and expand our client base with other like-minded companies.

  • A consummate relentless and effective networker
  • Highly intuitive and observant with a nose for emerging markets and business opportunities
  • Commercially and operationally astute with a flair for knowing when and how to work to a solution but able to walk away at the right time if the opportunity is not attractive or a good business fit
  • Highly customer focused but never to the detriment of the business
  • Highly skilled in account management / customer relationship management
  • Able to motivate and enthuse those working with them and those responsible for delivering the work they have helped to win
  • An effective communicator and sharer of customer and enquiry information to ensure optimum team work and tailored professional responses
