A Brief OverviewResponsible to assist the leader to plan organize educate and implement activities related to the Patient Access core operations. The Coordinator has primary day-to- day responsibility of assuring workflow turnaround times are met daily tracking of workflow communication to the team staff scheduling coordination and special projects. The coordinator serves as a key liaison amongst the team.
What you will do
- Effectively coordinate staff orientation in-services competencies production timeliness quality customer service and efficiencies of Admission and Preadmission Representatives in areas of responsibilities.
- Coordinates scheduling process and maintains appropriate staffing levels to maximize department efficiency.
- Demonstrates good communication continual education updates and cooperative working relationship with all departments co-workers and promotes a positive work environment.
- Provides timely information to the Supervisor/Manager regarding the Patient Facing processes staffing customer service (all departments patients and co-workers).
- Monitors performance of staff detects unsatisfactory trends/performance and deficiencies. Discusses needed performance improvement to staff as needed. Reports information to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Provides input and assists in development of operational policies and procedures and assists in disseminating information to staff. Developing training and retaining employees; planning assigning and leading work; rewarding and coaching employees.
- Ensures day-to-day workflow processes; identify workflow problems and recommend alternative solutions to problems. Monitors the quality and efficiency of the Patient Facing processes through auditing and key metrics.

Preferred Education License/Certification or Work Experience:
- 1-3 years of revenue cycle (patient access medical billing insurance collections) experience.
