In this role as a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Manager youll be responsible for managing developing and mentoring Digital Health Home QA team in Acute Care & Monitoring OU with a strong focus on automation across Digital Health Home browser- mobile- and services-based product portfolio.
Technical Manager position reporting to R&D Senior Engineering Manager
Lead and mentor the quality assurance team ensuring quality assurance tasks are being completed on time to the highest quality possible.
Drive continuous product test coverage maturity across the portfolio helping identify and resolve technical and process issues.
Take ownership of not releasing defects to customers and be willing say no this is not ready for release.
Develop and establish QA metrics and testing standards for new development and enhancements.
Use appropriate tools to drive QA best practices in automated testing manual testing system tests performance tests and load testing to ensure product specifications are met/maintained.
Conduct regular code reviews to ensure that design best practices are followed at all times. Automation code should be easy to extend and support
Demonstrate a team orientation by building rapport with teammates software development and product managers senior leadership.
Understand business technical roadmap and drive QA roadmap leveraging appropriate testing practices and tooling.
Contribute to a team culture by demonstrating a positive attitude team-oriented approach leadership qualities and openness to learning and feedback.
Participate in Agile sprint planning daily standup demo and retrospective meetings as needed
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
B.S. in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or Software Engineering or Software Development degree program or comparable on the job experience with another B.S. degree.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
5 years of hands-on experience developing and testing browser-based web applications native Android or iOS mobile applications with service-based architectures in medium to large scale enterprises using test automation platforms
3 years managing geographically distributed QA teams with focus on test automation
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5 years test automation development experience for web-based applications using Selenium Katalon or similar tools
5 years test automation development experience for Android or iOS mobile applications using Appium Kobiton or similar tools
5 years test automation development experience for service-based components using Postman SOAPUI Katalon or similar tools
5 years experience testing applications for multiple device form factors and screen resolutions
5 years experience driving Test case management and requirements traceability using Helix or similar Agile ALM tools
3 years experience working in GitLab or similar source repository Jira or similar Agile ALM tools
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Jenkins
Solid understanding of the full test automation development life cycle including developing test frameworks incremental maintenance.
Experience creating test plans verification and validation reports for medical device or non-medical device product releases
Demonstrated experience leading QA teams using Agile delivery models through testing maturity including adopting automation tools exploratory testing testing lifecycle best practices.
Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams in customer facing product portfolios.
Ability to interface with all groups and levels to solve problems and create solutions
High level of verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience developing test automation for web-based or mobile applications in MedTech industry
Experience managing test automation teams leveraging Appium Katalon Kobiton or custom frameworks in AWS or on-premise environments
Experience managing load and performance testing automation frameworks or teams
Experience testing software hardware interactions including peripheral interfaces using Bluetooth communication protocols
