Project Manager
H2E does the right thing for industrial clients and team members. The result is world-class electrical engineering process and design. We work with Mining Light Metals Hydro Electric Cement Aggregates WWTP Utilities DOE Manufacturing and Wood Products industries.
This full-time position is available at our Liberty Lake WA location. Pay rates are established by the assigned role and level which is determined by factors such as job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
About your work
You will work with engineers designers and clients to manage industrial Electrical Engineering projects in Power and Controls/Automation.
Essential Responsibilities
Technical Capabilities
Project Planning
- Verify documentation and approval of legal and contractual requirements
- Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution
- Develop project scopes and objectives involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Create detailed schedule project parameters and budget expectations
- Conduct risk analysis to reduce unforeseen obstacles and costs
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Project Execution
- Ensure legal and contractual requirements are documented and managed well throughout the project
- Verify compliance with the Quality and Safety program in all aspects of project work and project deliverables
- Facilitate invoices to clients and subcontractors and monitor billing
- Be aware of engineering techniques and standards and encourage team members to use them for effective project execution
- Track project performance periodically to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met
Project Controls
- Conduct periodic scope schedule and cost reviews to identify needed adjustments
- Develop and implement client change orders as required
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Assume financial responsibility for project outcomes including accurate timely and relevant reporting to stakeholder
Leadership and Interpersonal Capabilities
Leadership
- Set and manage stakeholder expectations both internally and externally
- Accurately estimate and acquire necessary resources
- Delegate project activities and duties in accordance with team members strengths and experience
- Coordinate between internal client and third-party resources for flawless project execution
Communication
- Consistently coordinate and lead project status meetings
- Coordinate deliverable expectations with project team members and clients
- Proactively provide project status reports and updates to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate project information in the company ERP system and business reporting tools
- Engage with project stakeholders and third-party suppliers to maintain productive relationships
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum five years of Project Management experience preferably in an industrial setting
- Bachelors degree in engineering business or another related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus
- Working knowledge of construction techniques is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate project related information to staff clients and customers
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
- Must be self-motivated results oriented and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team environment
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software suite: Outlook Excel Word OneNote Project and Access
