    Position Overview:
    • The Liberty Local School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Spanish Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. The ideal candidate will inspire students to appreciate the Spanish language and culture while fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment. This role requires a commitment to student development innovative teaching strategies and collaboration with fellow educators.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that meets state and national standards for Spanish language education.
    • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes cultural awareness.
    • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate various teaching methods including technology group work and hands-on activities.
    • Assess student progress through regular evaluations assignments and classroom participation providing constructive feedback to enhance learning.
    • Support students in developing their speaking writing and comprehension skills in Spanish across various levels of proficiency.
    • Encourage students to explore Spanish-speaking cultures through projects interactive discussions and extracurricular activities such as language clubs or cultural events.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular opportunities and share best practices.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching skills and knowledge of the Spanish language and culture.
    • Communicate effectively with students parents and administrative staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Spanish Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
    • Valid teaching certification in Spanish or Foreign Language Education.
    • Proven experience teaching Spanish at the high school level is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of Spanish grammar vocabulary and cultural nuances.
    • Proficient in the use of technology to enhance language learning.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
    • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning needs.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with differentiated instruction and a variety of assessment techniques.
    • Familiarity with current educational trends and methodologies in language teaching.
    • Ability to encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities related to Spanish language and culture.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand walk and engage with students and staff for extended periods.
    • Additional Information
    • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
