Job Description:
The Ren Lab at Scottish Rite for Children and UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician(s) to join our collaborative team focused on bone biology tissue regeneration and osteonecrosis.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support a range of biomedical research projects by performing duties including:
- Mouse colony handling genotyping and breeding
- Standard molecular biology techniques: RNA and protein isolation PCR qPCR western blotting ELISA
- Cell culture and primary cell isolation
- Tissue processing histology immunostaining and microscopy (including confocal imaging)
- Data entry lab organization and inventory maintenance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in biological sciences or related field required
- Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping
- Proficiency in basic lab techniques listed above
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
Preferred (but not required):
- Prior experience with RNA quality assessment and library prep
- Familiarity with single-cell RNA-seq or multiomics data analysis
