Job Description Summary

As this role you will work on digital and FPGA design & development for MRI with compliance of GE HealthCare product development process. Activities contributing to the hardware design and development of products solutions and systems for the Magnetic Resonance Gradient Drivers and Controls team. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing and new products and components.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for electrical hardware design; candidate would design develop modify and evaluate electronic parts components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Skill sets required: digital FPGA with writing VHDL.

  • Engaging in all phases of new product introduction including concept architecture documentation design prototype test supplier interfaces manufacturing introduction and service support

  • Candidate would be responsible to maintain and develop new and existing designs to meet customer needs.

  • Candidate may have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Candidate will resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Candidate will have access/regular touchpoints with more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum 2 years experiences on digital and FPGA in designing electrical hardware

  • Experience with VHDL/Verilog design and simulations using QuestaSim for Altera/Intel Xilinx/AMD Lattice FPGA/CPLD devices including timing closure and constraint management

  • Experience taking and making conclusions from data that drive decision making.

Desired Characteristics

  • Design experience in digital space in healthcare automation or telecommunication industry.

  • Experience using Matlab circuit analysis tools to analyze and model.

  • Experience integrating a circuit board into a high level assembly or system and running system level evaluation in industry.

  • Experience with documenting work within a controlled system (ie MyWorkshop Library system)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; strong team player.
