Job Specific Summary
Join Medtronic as an Equipment Support Supervisor and lead a team that is dedicated to transforming healthcare technology.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for day-to-day and preventative equipment support and maintenance in a medical device manufacturing area that produces materials used for wound closure products.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees the maintenance of production equipment.
  • Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.
  • Oversees technicians that repair and maintain the production and test equipment.
  • Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Manages training programs to ensure proper operation preventive maintenance and repair programs and procedures.
  • Maintains inventory and/or spare parts.
  • Schedules manufacturing activities.
  • Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources Critical Thinking Project Management Management of Personnel Resources Collaboration and Productivity Software Effective Communication Skills.
  • Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies Systems Thinking Installation Proficient computer skills.

Required Knowledge and Experience:Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling prioritizing coaching and process execution.
Requires 1 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

Equipment maintenance including emergency corrective and preventative maintenance

Mechanical and electrical experience

Leadership experience and proven experience developing a team

Experience with polymer development and braiding in a chemical plant

Maintenance planning

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$76000.00 - $114000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

U.S. Pay Transparency (for SIP Commission Hourly Direct Interns Executives)The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health Dental and vision insuranceHealth Savings AccountHealthcare Flexible Spending AccountLife insurance Long-term disability leaveDependent daycare spending accountTuition assistance/reimbursement andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
