Facilities Custodial - Part-time

We are looking for a Facilities Custodian to work between 25-30 hours a this role you will be responsible for maintaining our campus facilities in clean and orderly conditions to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants by completing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• General Cleaning:Sweep vacuum mop dust and sanitizing floors surfaces and fixtures.
• Restroom Maintenance:Clean and disinfect restrooms restock supplies (toilet paper soap paper towels).
• Trash Removal:Empty trash receptacles replace liners and dispos of waste.
• Window Cleaning:Clean interior and exterior windows ensuring they are free of smudges and streaks.
• Carpet Care:Vacuum and spot clean carpets.
• Floor Care:Maintain various floor types (tile wood etc.) through sweeping mopping waxing and polishing.
• Event Setup/Cleanup:Prepare rooms for meetings events and other activities and clean up afterward.
• Supply Management:Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and paper products.
• Campus Travel: Ability to travel between campus facilities throughout Glenwood.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence blueprints repair manuals and parts catalogs. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
