Role QA Lead (With P&C Insurance experience)

Role Description
Anticipated initial assignment is for implementation of capabilities supporting our switch to a new inbound payment processor for West Bend Mutuals agent and policyholder portals.
Summary of Responsibilities
Designs develops and executes manual as well as automated test processes and procedures meant to validate and improve quality. Review acceptance criteria and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback analyzes data and identifies trends in defects or errors. Estimates plans and executes testing activities. Investigates quality failures recommends changes to prevent future quality issues records and tracks bugs. Performs thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Designs develops and executes automation scripts. Assesses and reports on the impact of process changes on quality.
Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles moderate to complex issues and problems and engages higher-level staff on only the most complex issues as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Intermediate proficiency with Object Oriented Programming concepts
- Intermediate proficiency with Visual Studio
- Intermediate proficiency with modern SDLC; code management git flow code review unit testing mocking frameworks debug release
- Intermediate proficiency with Solution Design patterns
- Intermediate proficiency with release pipeline concepts such as Azure DevOps NuGet TFVC Git and/or Gradle(w)
- Intermediate proficiency with analyzing aggregating and querying data (in any format)
- Intermediate proficiency with observability frameworks such as Splunk Google Analytics MS App Insights and/or Dynatrace
- Intermediate proficiency with test automation frameworks
- Intermediate proficiency with backend test automation frameworks using Postman and/or Visual Studio
- Intermediate proficiency with frontend test automation frameworks using Playwright Jest and/or Selenium
- Intermediate proficiency with load / performance test automation frameworks using LoadRunner and/or JMeter
- Intermediate proficiency with security test automation frameworks using Synopsis Coverity Codesight and/or Black Duck
- Intermediate proficiency with Azure DevOps test pipelines
- Intermediate proficiency with test data management
- Can effectively communicate influence and challenge IT peers
- 6 years of experience in IT engineering
- Postman and Katalon experience
- Previous Agile/Scrum experience
