Ready to step into a Financial Controller role This Finance Manager position in Milton Keynes reporting directly to the BMI UK&I Financial Controller is your accelerated path.
You will gain comprehensive experience by leading financial reporting across our UK entities from monthly management accounts and group reporting to statutory financial statements. Take ownership of the annual audit master balance sheet reconciliations and drive insights in capital expenditure reporting and tax compliance (VAT tax packs).

As the Finance Manager your key responsibilities will be:
Acquire to Retire (A2R) & Fixed Asset Management:
Manage the entire fixed asset lifecycle from asset identification and creation to depreciation retirement and disposal.
Ensure accurate fixed asset accounting including intangible software adhering to US-GAAP IFRS and local GAAP standards and calculating differences.
Oversee asset splits and transfers across legal entities and cost centers.
Conduct lease accounting (IFRS 16) maintenance including identification calculation reporting and reassessment of leases.
Evaluate triggers for asset impairment calculate approve and post impairment entries and inform relevant departments.
Maintain and control the physical asset register and resolve related queries.
Close Consolidate & Report (CCR):
Manage the month quarter and year-end close processes including sub-ledger reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
Prepare and process various journal entries including exceptional journals allocations and recoveries.
Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations identify and resolve exceptions and manage FX valuations.
Calculate and process accruals and rebates ensuring timely and accurate entries.
Oversee intercompany trade controlling manage disputes and ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations and settlements.
Facilitate period-end reporting including preparing and reviewing trial balances extracting financial statements and providing commentary.
Coordinate the BMI Group close process including defining the close calendar and ensuring timely data submission and variance analysis.
Lead the consolidation of submissions and prepare reporting for the parent company.
Prepare and file statutory accounts and manage external audits (both management and statutory accounts).
Technical Accounting & Policy:
Continually review and ensure compliance with the latest accounting standards.
Maintain and approve changes to the delegation of authority matrix chart of accounts cost center and profit center structures.
Support business units in their input into both internal and external audit processes.
Local Cash Management:
Manage local cash budgeting forecasting and reporting including daily cash management and operational cash flow.
Responsible for driving the key financial KPIs such as Operating Cash flow Free Cash Flow
Perform banking and cash management activities including bank account administration and reconciliation.
Oversee guarantee management and prepare funding requests.
Tax:
Support tax planning including formulating tax strategy and responding to inquiries.
Ensure tax compliance including preparing tax returns (VAT ONS statistical reporting Financial Conduct Authority etc.) and managing transfer pricing.
Support group and local statutory tax accounting and reporting.
Your key skills and experience will include:
Qualified or part qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role with extensive experience in the areas outlined above.
Strong understanding of US-GAAP IFRS and local GAAP.
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools SAP ideally SAP S4/HANA.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
