Raytheon is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Dual Band Radar Software Team located in Tewksbury MA. We develop software in C and Java utilizing agile software development methods.
What You Will Do:
Develop robust and scalable software in C running Linux or UNIX operating systems using Agile development methods.
Design implement debug and problem solve Radar Software Applications while providing feedback to other team members.
Work in a team environment to understand end-user requirements and translate these into a pragmatic and effective technical solution.
Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a bachelors degree in Computer Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Experience with C and Java application code development and Linux/Unix
Experience developing software in a team-based development environment
Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active Secret security clearance.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional integration regression performance etc.) and best practices.
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.
Experience with DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System) or other requirements traceability tool.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and address issues.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: salary range for this role is 66000 USD - 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
