Torch Technologies is currently seeking an Assistant Program Manager to join our Special Operations Precision-Guided Munitions (SOPGM) team at Eglin AFB FL. This individual will support USSOCOM Det 1 as SOPGM Assistant Program successful candidate shall advise and assist the U.S. Special Operations Command Detachment 1 (USSOCOM Det 1) in all aspects of its developing fielding and sustaining systems for diverse Special Operations programs including Ghostrider Armed overwatch and non-standard aviation through all phases of development acquisition and sustainment. The successful candidate will provide technical and programmatic expertise as it relates to weapon system integration on various Special Operations Forces aircraft. The successful candidate will interface with and advise headquarters DoD acquisition agencies and contractors on acquisition planning and sustaining of systems managed through USSOCOM Det 1. Duties include traveling to domestic and foreign locations to participate in system evaluations. The successful candidate shall create plans schedules and other program management aids to track and report on progress. The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of program execution and participate in meetings analyses demonstrations and exercises.
This position requires a highly motivated individual who will perform the following responsibilities:
Assistsin the development implementation and control of contractual financial and technical aspects of Special Operations Forces (SOF) munitions projects and programs through all phases of the acquisition life cycle.
Provides technical guidance advisory support and assistance on SOF munitions test and evaluation (T&E) matters such as test planning and implementation test conduct resource control and reporting.
Supports Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) Operational Test (OT) Force Development Evaluation (FDE) Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) and certification for test readiness. Identifies deficiencies verify compliance with specifications and standards and assess stability of various system configurations.
Applies knowledge and performs systems engineering acumen in overseeing the integration testing and deployment of precision guided munitions technology across various Special Operations aircraft platforms.
Prepares executes reviews and analyzes test plans procedures metrics and reports throughout the munitions development life cycle. Develop and write methods of tests Concept of Operations (CONOPS) test cases test objectives/procedures test directives technical or letter reports analysis and review of requirements and other test process documents as required in the conduct of munitions testing.
Assists and advises on planning programming budgeting and execution of Special Operations Forces munitions portfolio funding to include Department of the Air Force Department of the Army and SOF-peculiar appropriations.
Collaborates in an Agile self-organizing cross-functional environment. Conducts analyses at all levels of system products to include concept design integration and test installation operation and maintenance.
Assists in the development of system requirements performance measures test phase entry/exit criteria analysis of design constraints functional capabilities and metrics.
Interacts with System Program Offices other military services and Defense industry partners.
Plans organizes and coordinates activities with functional specialists including program management engineering logistics contracting financial management flight test engineers and organizations external to USSOCOM and the Department of the Air Force.
A Masters degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience is required (12 years of experience may be substituted for a Masters degree).
Applicant must have broad skills with regard to requirements management program planning and test and evaluation planning and execution.
Relevant experience must include acquisition of previously fielded weapons systems.
Applicant must be capable of functioning in fast-paced high stress environments where team building is critical to success.
Must be able to communicate effectively.
The candidate must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. This requirement is a condition of employment and must be maintained throughout tenure.
U.S. Citizenship is also required.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications is highly desired.
