Job Duties
The Activities Assistant will assist the Activities Coordinator and Activities Director with planning and implementing activities designed to enrich the lives of our residents with dementia or Alzheimers.
Activities Assistant responsibilities include creating leading and engaging residents in meaningful and enjoyable activities providing emotional support and ensuring residents personal and social needs are met.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimers disease a passion for helping people and a knack for coming up with creative activity ideas.
Understand how memory impairments affect residents behavior and engagement.
Ability to adjust activities to suit cognitive levels.
Adapt plans to individual needs and group dynamics.
Additional Considerations
Memory care experience preferred. Long term care experience preferred.
